COOKBOOK: We’ve been following Ree Drummond for quite some time now. You might recognize her more in her persona as The Pioneer Woman, author of The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl, a cookbook that hit #1 on the New York Times’ bestseller list not too long ago, as well as a pretty amazing blog, The Pioneer Woman (check out her blog post on her cookbook at PW – It Is Finished). Did you notice that she’s a Pioneer Woman?
We love her blog — a mix of what we enjoy here at TastyDaily, too — family, friends, food, photography and fun. (Check out our links over there to the right.)
She’s got a great writing style, and if you’re into meat and potatoes and hearty “Cowboy-style grub,” you’ve gotta pick up this book. Very witty, and a great insight into not only cooking for hungry cowboys, but into her life, her passions and her world — and she makes it sound like a very inviting one.
Check out some of her recipes online here: PW – Recipes. These are not for the faint of heart. These are stoke-up-the-fires-and-pack-on-some-calories-for-ranch-work recipes.
